At just 18 years old, Helmut Lux opened his first antique shop in Koblenz. With over 40 years of experience in the field of art and antiques, Helmut Lux is your competent and trustworthy partner for buying and selling valuable objects and works of art.
Mr. Lux took over the auction house in 1989 from his long-time friend Mr. Haack, who had already been running it under his own name for 10 years prior.
Since then, the auction house in Koblenz has become an institution and a key destination for anyone interested in art and antiques.
For more than 20 years, Auktionshaus Lux was located on Friedrich-Ebert-Ring in Koblenz. In 2010, it moved to its current location near the Electoral Palace at Schloßstraße 5, where auctions are now held.
Auctioneer Helmut Lux also conducts pawn auctions at Pfandhaus Hermann in Koblenz and Pfandhaus Brocker. In matters of estate settlements, the auction house works closely with estate administrators and attorneys.
In addition, Mr. Lux supports many charitable projects and frequently evaluates and auctions off items for a good cause. Beneficiaries include the Balthasar Children’s Hospice in Olpe, the Reiner Meutsch Foundation "Help & Fly", the Women’s Crisis Center Koblenz, and many more.
